MONIQUE ELLER

MONIQUE ELLER
Monique Eller, Dutch photographer, specializes in portraits and still life. She approaches her subjects with a seventeenth-century style while adding a twenty-first century twist. This creates a somewhat disruptive, often provocatively touching or comforting feeling about her work. Nonetheless Eller's images always remain exciting to observe. Her collection goes beyond photography, beyond the aesthetic. The observing leads to discovering.

She displays a talent which intensifies your sight, emotions and awareness. Her portraits and still life photography often visualizes the vanity and transience of earthly existence. The use of contrasts in dark and light strongly highlight her topics, which creates a high level of intensity.
